Process Integrated Boilers

pib-1Many processes require heat to achieve very high temperatures, for completion of a reaction. Once this reaction takes place, the process gases need to be cooled down. Also the flue gases used are still hot. Some processes being exothermic in nature, generate heat, while some processes may require incinerators at the end of the process. Process Integrated Boilers or Recovery units are placed at the back end of such systems and serve dual purpose of cooling the process and / or exhaust gases and recover heat while cooling the gases.

We at M.E have supplied Process Integrated Boilers to recover heat, while cooling the process gases / exhaust gases. Many of such Boilers have been designed for temperatures up to 1200 deg C and have handled corrosive gases.Since the equipment is an integral part of the system, they are critical in nature and demand a thorough knowledge of the process.

At places with no requirement of steam, process heat can be recovered for heating water, thermic fluid. It is also possible to generate hot air for combustion air pre-heating, which can reduce the consumption of the fuel substantially.

The Process Integrated boilers / recovery units can be designed conforming to IBR, ASME, API etc. as the requirement of the process may demand.
